Our work often spans multiple initiatives, reflecting our mission to preserve Perdido’s unique culture, protect its natural beauty, and balance progress with environmental stewardship. From community engagement and advocacy to disaster relief efforts, we focus on projects that bring meaningful impact to the lives of local residents.
Here are some of the key initiatives we’ve undertaken this year to advance our shared vision for Perdido.
Perdido Vision Survey
In collaboration with a respected national community and market research firm, Envision Perdido conducted the Perdido Vision Survey to better understand the shared values and future aspirations of our community. The survey's results now guide our advocacy with local elected officials, ensuring that we represent the collective voice of Perdido residents in all of our efforts. Discovering Our “Why”
Throughout 2024, Envision Perdido undertook a transformative revisioning process to uncover and articulate our shared purpose as an organization and community. Guided by Simon Sinek’s “Golden Circle” framework, we worked collaboratively to define our “Why”—the core belief that inspires everything we do. Drawing on insights from the Perdido Vision Survey, which captured the aspirations and values of our residents, this introspective journey helped us align our mission with the unique culture, natural beauty, and community spirit that make Perdido extraordinary. This renewed clarity ensures that all of our efforts remain true to the heart of what matters most to our community.
North Carolina Mountain Relief
Following the devastation of Hurricane Helene, Envision Perdido partnered with community leaders and organizations to raise funds and coordinate donations for relief efforts in the Black Mountain, NC area. Our community’s commitment to helping others in need was demonstrated through Operation NC Mountain Relief, a powerful display of solidarity and compassion. The campaign results are available here.
